Mr. Trotter performed a stapedectomy on my right ear in 2011 and today was my annual follow-up appointment. At all times I have found Mr. Trotter to be an extremely pleasant person with a very friendly attitude. He spent time explaining the procedure to me and all of the options available to me. At all times he is very professional and at very approachable. My operation has been a complete success and the improvement in my hearing is truly amazing. I am thrilled with the results.

I saw Matthew Trotter 12 months ago at an outpatients department for treatment for nosebleeds. His straightforward friendly manner was reassuring. He explained exactly what he was going to do and what to expect when he cauterised my nose. At my follow-up last week he saw me well before my appointment time and his manner was exactly the same as he gave me further advice if the problem reoccurred. He clearly cared for me as the patient. Thank you.

Matthew Trotter was a lovely doctor. My daughter was going to have her tonsils out and was very nervous he explained everything to her at the consultation and once in hospital made her feel very much at ease. Very friendly and professional would recommend him to anyone

My daughter was recently referred to Mr Trotter following a reoccurrence of the glue ear that she had suffered from 5 years previously. As other reviewers have noted, Mr Trotter is just fantastic with children and from the start, he put both my daughter and the rest of the family at ease. My daughter particularly liked being able to see inside her ears and he made sure that she understood exactly what was going on at all times. Every stage of the process was smooth and trouble free and he was a very reassuring presence on the day of her surgery to insert grommets. She has decided that he is her very favourite doctor in the whole world! Now that she has had the surgery, we have been very impressed with Mr Trotter's approach to post operative care as he wishes to keep seeing her until her grommets have fallen out and he can confirm that the glue ear has not come back. This is so reassuring to us and allows us to feel confident that her hearing problems will continue to be monitored. I would recommend Mr Trotter to anyone as he is utterly professional whilst still being relaxed and laid back with children. He is an amazing doctor and many others in the medical profession could learn a lot from him!

We have had the pleasure of Mr Trotter's experience and knowledge for both our daughters - One with ears and one with tonsils. He is helpful, informative, comforting and has a real sense of enthusiasm in what he does. He ensures that we are always thoroughly looked after and cared for and it gives me a huge amount of comfort and happiness knowing that our daughters were in and are in his excellent hands. A genuinely really nice guy!
